BonaFide Agility 101 Dog agility is a sport that combines obedience with an obstacle course for your dog! It's a great way to build a relationship with your dog, gain off-leash control and have fun! Agility 101 will continue foundation training and introduce your dog to all agility equipment at low heights. Please note special prerequisitess below (including completion of Agility 100 and permission). Students must have successfully passed their Agility 100 skills test to be allowed into this class. Class length: 4 weeks Class size limit: 6 Class duration: 45 minutes Prerequisites A dog at least 1 year old A positive attitude A sense of humor Current vaccination records (including rabies for all dogs 28 weeks and older) The dog and handler must have also completed Agility 100 and have instructor permission in order to take this class. Dog must perform hand touch, nose target, 10' send to target box, recall, wait in front of jump, ready-steady-go release, and move on handler's left and right sides; be comfortable with tunnel, chute, jumps, table and wobble board; handler must respond immediately and appropriately into loose dog position; dog must be able to sit/down/walk on lead around equipment; dog must be at proper weight or actively working toward achieving proper weight; handler must understand how to properly motivate and reinforce desired behaviors. Handler must be an adult (18 yrs or older) unless prior permission is given by the instructor or the class is designated as a kid's class.
