The 2009 APDT Rally national rankings are out and Gabriel is #8 ARCH in the country and #21 all levels!

Congratulations to Dawn and Gabe!!!!

This just in from Robin Adamson:

Over a five week period, Jazzy participated in 5 trials. In Davenport, IA, at the Quad City Dog Center's NADAC trial, Nov. 21-22nd, she earned her 400th Point in Elite Touch N Go. A week later she was in Wahoo, NE for the Star City Agility Team's CPE trial where she went 8 for 10 and she finished out the last of her Level 3 requirements with a nice Jumpers run. She also earned her first Level 5 Q in Full House. A week later she was in Madison, WI for the RACE NADAC All Games trial where she again earned 8 Q's including her 800th point in Elite Tunnelers (3 Elite Weavers, 3 Elite Tunnelers & 2 Elite Touch N Go). She ran at the TDAA trial held at BONAFIDE, earning 7 Q's and fast tracking into Superior. Finally, she traveled down to Lawrence, Kansas for the U2 Kan Du Agility Holiday NADAC trial earning Q's in Regular, Chances, Tunnelers (2), Weavers & Touch N Go (2). During this time she also received a package in the mail from NADAC that contained the Extended Title Medals that she earned over the last year or so. Those Medals were for Elite Tunnelers 400 Points, 500 Points & 600 Points, Elite Weavers 300 Points, 400 Points & 500 Points.

Congratulations to Jami Campisi and her Sheltie Meena, who have been on quite the run lately. At the BDOC trial in Omaha, they earned three Double-Qs and an Excellent B FAST leg. At the DMOTC trial in Des Moines - on the very next weekend - they again earned three Double-Qs and an Excellent B FAST leg. Way to go Jami and Meena!!!!

Congratulations to Kathy Foreman and her Sheltie Kassie - who completed their AKC RA (Rally Advanced) title at the dog shows in Kansas City on August 22 and 23 - with a first and a second place! Way to go Kathy and Kassie!!!!

It's been a busy August for Cindy Mendonca's Rorie and Jolie. Rorie finished her AHBA HRDIIs title on a course simulating ranch/farm duties for a working dog. Jolie earned the APDT RL1 title, a first on a RL1X leg, and her first RL2 leg with a second place.

Congratulations to Kathy Foreman and her Shelties Kassie and Riley, who recently completed at the Nebraska Kennel Club shows.

Kassie was shown in Rally, and earned her first two RA legs. Riley was shown in Agility, and earned his NAP and NJP titles - with two first places and a second place.

Congratulations to Jami Campisi and her Shelties Meena and Mira, who had a pretty good weekend at the recent Nebraska Kennel Club shows. Meena had 2 first places in Excellent B Fast, a second place in Excellent B Standard, and 2 second places in Excellent B Jumpers. Mira (Meena's pup) won a first place in the 12-18 month puppy class in conformation.

THIS JUST IN!!!

Cricket (owned by Cam) is the FIRST Bulldog to earn a UKC Rally Obedience title. Also, Gabe (owned by Dawn) is the SECOND Border Collie to earn a UKC Rally title.

Dawn and Cam had a good weekend at the Paws and Effect APDT Rally trials held in Des Moines on June 27 and 28.

Dawn (and Gabriel) earned his L3 and ARCHX titles. They competed 11 times, qualifying all 11 times - including 6 perfect scores of 210 - and their first ARCHEX Double Q as well.

Cam (and Cricket) earned two L2 legs (with placements on both!!!!). She only competed twice because she was completing her apprentice judging assignments!

Congratulations to both of them (and their dogs)!
Congratulations to Dianne Krantz and her Sheltie Tami, who earned a second place with a score of 100 in the Rally Excellent class at the Fort Dodge AKC dog show.
A training tip from Dawn will be featured in the upcoming book "Top Tips from Top Trainers" book to be published later this year by TFH, Inc.
Congratulations to Cam and Cricket who earned their UKC Rally Obedience 1 title in three straight trials at the Friends of BDOC rally trials. Dawn and Gabriel also earned their U-RO1 title at these trials earning a first place and a High in Trial as well.
Congratulations to Anne Kurgan and her Min Pin Zeus, who completed their OA (Open Standard) agility title at the BDOC agility trials in May.
Congratulations to Robin Adamson and her Sheltie Jazz, who earned their 2500th lifetime point in an Elite Tunnelers run at the Run 4 Rescue NADAC trial in Wichita in April.
Congratulations to Josie Haumont and Elizabeth Bucholz, who competed with their dogs Ozzy and Chante at the Borzoi National Specialty. Josie and Ozzy won the Novice A Rally class, while Elizabeth and Chante took second place in Novice B Rally.
Congratulations to the following teams who competed in Rally at the recent Council Bluffs Kennel Club Obedience and Rally Trial:
  • Dawn Antoniak-Mitchell and Gabe (Border Collie) finished their RE title and took two first places in Excellent.
  • Cam Bexten and Cricket (Bulldog) finished their RA title with a first place in Advanced
  • Kathy Forman and Cassie (Sheltie) won a first place in Novice B Rally
Congratulations to Cindy Mendonca and her Bearded Collies Jolie and Rorie. During the spring, Jolie finished her AKC RA in Seward, earned her American Herding Breed Association HTADIIs and HRDIIs titles in April, and finished her AKC HIAs at their National Specialty - with an RHIT as well. Rorie also earned her HTADIIs in April, and needs one more leg for her HRDIIs.

Congratulations to our newest "Canine Good Citizens"! The following teams just passed their CGC evaluations: Michael Jones and Margie (South African Boerboel), Candy Webb and Luc (Newfoundland), Keira Fritzen and Lennon (Pit Bull Mix), and Brent Ellis and Brody (Newfoundland). Way to go everyone!
MAJOR KUDOS to Robin Adamson and her Sheltie Jazz, who in the NADAC 2008 Top Ten by Breed Rankings was the #2 Weaver (340 points), #2 Tunneler (320 points), #3 Hoopers (70 points), and #2 Touch-n-Go (230 points).

Also, her Sheltie Shasta was the #6 Sheltie Tunneler with 190 point. In addition, Shasta finished her Novice Versatility Award at the recent Companion Dog Club NADAC trial.
BonaFide resident Border Collie Gabriel finished his APDT rally championship by earning his 5 double Qs in 5 straight trials at the Minnesota Mixed Breed Club's APDT trials in Minneapolis 31 Jan - 1 Feb. He also earned his first Level 3 leg, 5 legs toward his Level 1 championship, 5 legs toward his Level 2 championship and 2 legs toward his CDSP CD title the same weekend. He is now formally known as ARCH Sledgehammer CD RA RL2 CGC - but his BonaFide friends can still call him Gabe! :-)
Mateel Smith's Border Terrier Newman was invited to participate in the Westminster Kennel Club show as one of the nation's top show dogs. Although Newman is only 1 year old, he will be competing against around 2000 other top dogs of all breeds and ages February 9-10 in New York City for the coveted Best In Show award. Be sure to check the show out on TV and cheer our home town boy on!
Elizabeth Bucholz's Borzoi Chante is the #8 Borzoi in AKC novice rally based on the Borzoi Club of America's rankings through 31 July 2008.
Congratulations to Anne Kurgan and her Min Pin Zeus. On their first weekend competing at the NADAC Elite level, at the U2KanDu trials in Lawrence, KS, they earned their standard title. Also, on December 26-27, at the Minnesota Mixed Breed NADAC trial, they earned their jumpers title - including a first place which was five seconds faster than the second-place dog.

Jazz earned 12 Qs out of 15 runs - and received her Level 3 Regular title at the Star City Agility Team's recent CPE trials. She also earned her 300th Elite Touch 'n Go point (TGE-300) and her 600th Elite Tunnelers point (TNE-600) at the RACE Agility NADAC trial in Madison, WI.

Shasta earned her Outstanding Novice Regular title at the Quad City Dog Center NADAC trial in Davenport, IA. She also earned her Open Hoopers title at the RACE Agility NADAC trial.

Congratulations to Pete Vogel and his Pembroke Welsh Corgi Edgrr, who completed their NADAC Novice Tunnelers title at the recent U2 Kan Du Howl-O-Ween trials in Lawrence, KS - with two first places to boot! They also qualified in Novice Jumpers, with a second place, and now are one qualification away from their Novice Jumpers title!
Congratulations to Rose Strasser and her Japanese Chin Tia! Tia finished her CPE Specialist Agility Team Championship (CS-ATCH) this weekend. The title required 40 Qs from 5 of the 7 classes offered in CPE at the highest level (level 5). At age 13, she is officially "retired" but is planning on making selective appearances if the mood strikes her! Thanks to everyone who has supported us and thank you to Star City Agility Team for putting on an excellent trial with a great judge, Ellen Hizer.

Congratulations to Norine Nieman and her Papillon Bindi, who recently earned their U-CD title at the Adel, IA UKC show on October 3. That same weekend, they earned her second RE leg at the Lincoln trial.

On October 24, she earned her RE at the BDOC trial in Omaha. That same day, she placed 4th in Novice B and was highest scoring Toy dog. On October 25 and 26 (also at the BDOC trial), she earned her first two RAE legs.

Congratulations to Anne Kurgen and her Min Pin Zeus, who earned their Open JWW title at the recent GLOC trials in Lincoln. They only need one more Open Standard leg to complete that title as well.
Congratulations to Amy Petricek and her Golden Bailey. They recently competed at a NADAC trial and they earned their Novice Jumpers title, two Open Tunnelers legs, and a Regular leg.

Congratulations to Jami Campisi (one of BonaFide's agility instructors) on her recent success at the USDAA agility trial in Minnesota (the MAC trial).

Jami and Meena (her Sheltie) won first place (and qualifying runs) in Steeplechase, Grand Prix, Master Snooker, Master Jumpers, and Master Pairs (which also earned her the ADCH title). She also had a non-qualifying 3rd place in Master Gamblers and Master Standard.

Jami and Deni (her border collie) had qualifying runs in Starter Jumpers (1st place), Starters Snookers (1st place), Starters Standard (2nd place), Starters Relay (3rd place). She also had non-qualifying placements in Grand Prix (2nd), Starters Gamblers (2nd) and Steeplechase (3rd).

Congratulations to Norine Nieman and her Papillon Bindi and their success at the Papillon Club of Iowa's first specialty show in Des Moines on September 5. She won the Novice B obedience class with a 188, earned her first RE leg with a 92 - and a first place, and also won the Graduate Novice class.

Congratulations to Omaha's newest Delta Pet Partner therapy team - Linda Petricek and Sophie! Congratulations also to Melissa Lester and her Jack Russell Terrier Molly and Dawn Antoniak-Mitchell and her Jack Russell Terrier Lizzie B. for passing their biannual renewal tests. Melissa and Molly have been a Pet Partner team for three years and Dawn and Lizzie B. have been a Pet Partner team for four years.

She also earned her 500th point in Elite Tunnelers (TNE-500) at the Minnesota Agility Club's NADAC trial on June 22.

Congratulations to Dawn and her Border Collie Gabriel, who finished his CD with a 3rd place at the Topeka dog shows. In addition, Gabe also earned two RE legs with a 1st and a 4th place.

Congratulations to Cindy Mendonca and her bearded collies! Rorie completed her RN title in Vermillion on June 28, with a second place in Novice A. Jolie completed her RN title at the NKC show at the busy, noisy Qwest Center in July.

It is with sadness that we include a posthumous brag for Dawn and her Curly-Coated Retriever Barnum (who is now waiting for us at the rainbow bridge). In very limited showing during 2007, he placed in the top 100 APDT Rally Rankings (All Classes). Congratulations to Dawn and Barnum, who is still greatly missed.

Congratulations to Cam and Cricket who earned their RN title at the Oklahoma City cluster - it was done in three straight shows with a 1st and a 3rd place.

Congratulations to Dawn and Shocker who earned their RN title at the Oklahoma City cluster - it was done in three straight shows with two 1st places and a 3rd place (scores of 99, 98, and 97). Not too bad for a 10-year-old Curly-Coated Retriever!

Congratulations to Dawn and her border collie Gabriel who earned his RA in three straight shows (the Wyoming circuit) with two 1st places and a 2nd place. At the same shows, he also earned the first two legs towards his CD. His first leg earned him a 1st place - AND AN ALL-BREED HIGH-IN-TRIAL - and a 2nd place for his second leg.

Congratulations to Melissa Lester and her Jack Russell Terrier Stoney, who earned his OA and OAJ titles earlier this summer.

  • July 2007 - AKC NA and NAJ titles
  • 2008 - Qualified for NADAC Championships in Tunnelers and Jumpers (so far)
  • He has all NADAC Novice titles, including an Outstanding Tunnelers title
  • NADAC Open Tunnelers and Jumpers titles
  • On May 3-4 at the Paws and Effect NADAC trial, he qualified 6 times with 5 first places

  • At the NADAC trials in Des Moines, Lawrence, Gray Summit, and Omaha, Jazz brought home Qs in Elite Jumpers, Weavers, Tunnelers, Regular, Chances, Hoopers, and Touch 'n Go, including a Superior Elite Touch 'n Go Title in Omaha.
  • Shasta has earned Qs in Novice Regular, Chances, and Touch 'n Go, as well as her Superior Open Tunnelers title in Des Moines on her third birthday. A week later, she earned her Elite Tunnelers title in four tries.

Congratulations to Kathleen Schultz and her Wirehaired Viszla Lady on becoming our newest Delta Society Pet Partner team! And congratulations to Cam Bexten and her Bulldog Rugby for passing their team renewal evaluations!

BIG CONGRATS to three of our AKC Rally students who participated in the Rally-O classes at the Seward Kennel Club dog shows on April 26th and 27th.

  • Cindy Mendonca - with her Bearded Collie Rorie - qualified on Saturday with a 91 and a fourth-place finish in Rally Novice. She also qualified on Sunday with a 96 - just out of the placements.
  • Kris Woodke - with her Miniature Schnauzer Lily - qualified on Saturday with a 91 in Rally Novice (she didn't show on Sunday).
  • Elizabeth Bucholz - with her Borzoi Chante - qualified on Saturday with a 91 in Rally Novice. She also qualified on Sunday, but we don't have the score at this time.

Robin Adamson's shelties - again - did pretty well at the Paws & Effect NADAC trial in Des Moines. Jazz earned 1 Q in Elite Weavers, 2 Elite Tunnelers, 2 Elite Regular and 1 Elite Touch N Go, which was also her Outstanding Elite Touch N Go Title.Shasta only earned one Q, in Open Tunnelers.

Amy Petricek and her golden Bailey also did quite well - 2 Qs in Novice Tunnelers and a couple of "almost-Q" run in Novice Jumpers.

Melissa Lester also showed her Jack Russell Terrriers, but we don't have the details of her runs yet.

CONGRATS to Cam and Cricket for placing FIRST at the East Meets West Dryland Challenge in the 1 Dog Women's Sportsman's Canicross class in Brainerd MN! And also, CONGRATS to Cam and Gabe for finishing SECOND in the 1 Dog Scooter class at the same event!

CONGRATS to Dawn and Barnum for qualifying 11 out of 11 times with 9 placements in L1, L2, and L3 APDT Rally at the Canine Divine APDT Rally trials in Ann Arbor MI. Barnum is now only one double-Q away from completing his ARCH!

Also, CONGRATS to Dawn and Lizzie B for five qualifying runs with two placements in L1 and L2 at the same trial!

Robin Adamson's shelties did quite well at the Ready Steady Go Agility Club's NADAC All Games Show in Muscatine, IA on October 27-28.

Jazz earned 2 Elite Touch-N-Go legs, 3 Elite Tunnelers legs, and 4 Elite Weavers legs.

Shasta earned 3 Open Tunnelers legs, earning her the TN-O (Open Tunnelers) title.
