BonaFide Dogspeak

We know our dogs are trying to communicate with us all the time, but do we really know what they are saying? The canine language is a subtle communication system based primarily on body language. Learning to understand that language can help you develop a better relationship with your dog, keep yourself safe around other dogs, and keep your dog safe around other dogs as well. Speaking dog will also make your training more efficient and effective. Join us for this multi-media presentation based on What is My Dog Saying? by Carol Byrnes CPDT-KA. We will be looking at still photos and video to help decode the canine language.

This class is a MUST for anyone whose dog will ever interact with another dog, adult human, or a child. We'll look at some of the more common signals our dogs share with us to let us know they are uncomfortable with a situation BEFORE they resort to biting.

This class is also a MUST for anyone who sends a dog to doggie daycare or the dog park. We'll discuss what to look for when you check your dog out on the daycare videocams or watch him play at the dog park to help you decide if your dog really enjoys the experience - a stressed dog will come home from daycare just as tired as a happy dog!

Thinking about competing in dog sports? This class is for anyone serious about developing a poitive relationship with thier dogs and learning how to optimize training by better understanding canine behavior. Learn how to tell if your dog is stressed or just more interested in something other than you when he doesn't do what you want him to do.
