BonaFide Dogtail Hour Many people spend a lot of time getting young puppies exposed to all sorts of people and dogs, but few allow their adolescent and adult dogs time to continue perfecting their canine social skills. Bite inhibition and appropriate canine social skills are keys to your dog's bite-free, fight-free life. Public parks and backyard play groups don't always pair compatible dogs - all sizes, ages and temperaments mingle together. During BonaFide's Dogtail Hour sessions, your dog will be able to practice and perfect proper canine social skills under the watchful eyes of BonaFide's professional instructors by interacting with other healthy dogs as well as the instructors' well-socialized adult dogs in small play groups. This is a 45 minute supervised, leash-free session in BonaFide's safe, climate-controlled facility. Come enjoy our lounge area and make new friends while your dog makes new friends too! Dogtail Hour sessions are divided by dog size, so please check out the class calendar for available times. If your dog already has a group she enjoys playing with, contact us about booking a private Dogtail Hour! Bonafide Dogtail Hour sessions are split into two groups based on size - one for dogs under 25 pounds and one for dogs over 25 pounds. Does your dog have special social issues that concern you? Playtime class size limit: 6 for dogs over 25 pounds; 8 for dogs under 25 pounds Participation will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call at least 30 minutes in advance if you would like to guarantee your dog's spot in the group. PLEASE NOTE: To keep socialization sessions safe, positive, and fun for all dogs and their owners, BonaFide Dog Academy LLC reserves the right to deny participation to any puppy or dog that in its sole discretion it deems to be a hazard in any manner to other dogs, people, or property, and to remove any dog or puppy during any session that exhibits such behavior. Prerequisites a dog aged at least 6 months old a positive attitude a sense of humor Current vaccination records (including rabies for all dogs 28 weeks and older, parvo, canine distemper, canine hapatitis, and parainfluenza) All dogs must be pre-screened for play-group suitability before participating in dog/puppy social hours. Handler must be an adult (18 yrs or older) unless prior permission is given by the instructor or the class is designated as a kid's class.
