BonaFide Power Proofing Successful competition obedience teams all spend a lot of time on one activity - proofing! BonaFide's Power Proofing class will help you test your dog's understanding and reliability under unusual circumstances. Based on the proofing procedures used by many service dog trainers, you will test your dog's attention skills, stationary skills (sit, down, stand, signals) and moving skills (heeling, retrieving and jumping) in extraordinary ways. Distance, duration and distractions will be varied in the context of AKC obedience and rally exercises. Participate in rat ball stays, rabbit scent relays, flopping gauntlets and other truly creative exercises for 30 minutes each week. Please check out the class calendar for class times. Prerequisites Teams must be currently competing in obedience competition or have permission. Dogs must be at least one year old. Current vaccination records (including rabies for all dogs 28 weeks and older, parvo, canine distemper, canine hapatitis, and parainfluenza) Handler must be an adult (18 yrs or older) unless prior permission is given by the instructor or the class is designated as a kid's class.
