Puppy Basics is a four-week class designed to build a long-lasting relationship with your new puppy. The class covers three main areas of raising a puppy:
Socialization: The process of positively introducing your puppy to places, people, animals, sounds and objects. A well-socialized puppy means getting to enjoy a well-behaved adult dog—one who enjoys meeting new people and dogs and encountering new situations.
Problem Prevention and Early Solutions: You will learn basic problem solving for jumping, mouthing, housebreaking, chewing and other difficult puppy behaviors.
Basic foundational obedience: Your puppy will learn to come when called, sit, down, stay, leave a treat alone, and how to walk nicely on a leash.
All classes are centered around real-life places and activities such as:
The Living Room – The Kitchen – The Groomer – The Vet’s Office – An Outdoor Walk
Requirements: This class is for puppies 4 months to 8 months who have not yet attended a training class.
