Worked up! Focus & Reactivity

Does your dog go from zero to chaos the moment something exciting appears? This workshop teaches you how to help your dog slow down, focus, and make better choices around distractions. You’ll learn practical engagement exercises, threshold awareness, and simple focus games that help your dog check in with you instead of reacting to everything around them. You’ll leave with: a custom training plan, stronger engagement with your dog, and tools to help create calmer, more thoughtful responses in exciting environments.

Sniff & Go – Container & Interior Searches

This Sniff & Go offers dogs and handlers the opportunity to run four total searches (three searches for Advance / Trial Prep) in a relaxed, non-trial environment while still mirroring real competition setups.

Event format (1 hour total):

  • 2 Container Searches

  • 2 or more Interior Searches

  • Birch Odor (also Anise, Clove, and Cypress for Advanced)

  • 2 hides per search (3 hides for Advanced)

Search layouts and hide placement will be similar in complexity and style to typical CPE and UKC nosework courses, making this an excellent tune-up for upcoming trials or a confidence-building experience for newer teams.

Runs may be video recorded and are eligible for submission toward titles through CyberScentwork (handler is responsible for meeting CyberScentwork submission requirements).

Why attend:

  • Trial-like searches without the pressure

  • Ideal for proofing, handling practice, or title submissions

  • Flexible, supportive environment for dogs and handlers

This event is open to teams familiar with birch odor. Dogs should be comfortable working independently in interior spaces and around containers.
